The Doobie Brothers are a popular American rock band that has been at the forefront of the music scene since their debut in 1971, despite numerous breakups and suspensions. This October, they will release their first new album in 11 years, "Liberte," and announce their first tour in many years. In 1975, Jeff Baxter of Steely Dan joined the Doobie Brothers and became a triple guitarist, and the Doobie Brothers' album "Stampede" reached No. 4 on the U.S. album chart.
