As Kiwi's most of us will have fond childhood memories exploring tidepools and seeing all the interesting creature communities captured within them. My father took us sailing every weekend growing up so we explored the many islands of the Hauraki Gulf and Bay of Islands, and these experiences have stayed with me evoking a golden haze of childhood happiness.
