BASH (Bridged Amplifier Switching Hybrid) Amplifier

The Elac PS250 features a powerful BASH amplifier with Dual 4-channel DSP and 32-bit DACs, BLE APP control. This new amplifier uses a modulated switched-mode power supply allied to a conventional class AB amplifier. Switching at more than 400,000 times per second, the supply tracks the incoming audio signal to ensure that the Class AB amplifier gets only the voltage necessary (with a little headroom) to cope with today’s dynamic movie and music content, thus maximizing the efficiency and potential of the amplifier.

Treated Paper Cone with 2" Voice Coil

All three Premium Series subwoofers feature a large 2” voice coil for increased power handling and thermal management, resulting in higher output SPL. These new high-excursion woofers utilize a lightweight paper cone that has been treated to enhance stiffness and reduce any effects caused by temperature or humidity changes.

Auto Room EQ

Finding the perfect location for your subwoofer can be difficult or just not visually appealing. Utilizing Elac's new Sub Control 3.0 app and your smartphone microphone, the subwoofer will optimize room EQ automatically, allowing greater flexibility in placement without sacrificing performance.

DSP (Digital Signal Processor)

A dual 28-bit DSP with a 147mHz master clock frequency is utilized to process audio signals with high accuracy and minimum latency.

Custom Design

Vinyl-wrapped, elegant, and acoustically balanced, 30mm cabinet, damped and internally braced eliminating unwanted resonance for maximum performance.
