Construction and materials

The shell is 500 denier nylon, a mid-weight ballistic nylon weave that resists abrasion and holds its shape under load. Reverse stitching at stress points and bar tacking at strap junctions prevent seam failure during rapid access or hard pulls. The dual U-shaped zipper design means both sides of the main compartment open simultaneously, so the pouch lays fully flat for a complete view of contents. Pull tabs are 550 paracord, giving a positive grip even with gloved hands.

Inside, elastic dividers section the main compartment for gauze packs, pressure bandages, or gloves, while a separate row of elastic loops runs the full width to retain a CAT or SOFTT-W tourniquet flat against the back wall. Medical supplies are not included.

How do I attach it to PALS webbing?

Thread the two snap-locking webbing straps through the PALS rows on your carrier in a standard MOLLE weave pattern, then snap each strap closed. No tools are required. The snap locks prevent the pouch from shifting or detaching under movement.

Is this pouch NIJ-rated on its own?

No. This is a non-ballistic storage pouch. It carries no ballistic rating and is not designed to provide any protection against projectiles or fragmentation. Its function is organization and secure retention of medical supplies.

Does this add ballistic coverage or just storage?

Storage only. The pouch adds 6 oz of carry weight and provides fast-access organization for trauma gear. It does not contribute ballistic coverage to your loadout.

What is covered under the lifetime warranty?

The lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects and material failures under intended use. It does not cover everyday wear and tear, modifications, alterations, or improper use. Warranty claims are evaluated case by case, and Shellback covers shipping on authorized claims.

Can this be shipped to my state?

Yes. This is a non-ballistic tactical pouch with no ballistic rating, so state body armor shipping restrictions do not apply. It ships to all 50 states. Under 18 U.S.C. § 931, the federal restriction on body armor possession for violent felony offenders does not apply to non-ballistic accessories.
