With Annie Haslam's crystal voice, John Taut's classical acoustic piano, and a brilliant orchestral sound, Renaissance has established its own unique sound style in the progressive rock scene, and is one of the few British progressive rock bands to achieve success in the United States. Released in July 1975, "Scheherazade and Other Stories" was a huge hit in the U.S., and the band toured North America to great acclaim. The May 21 concert in Passaic, New Jersey, was recorded on video. With the discovery of the audio master, the concert was remastered to the best of its ability and released on this occasion. The setlist of the concert was 9 songs including encores, and this live album is a complete recording of the concert.The renaissance sound with lyrical melodies and dramatic developments, which had been perfected at this point, is in full bloom in this live performance!
