This Vintage Schrade Loveless design was manufactured by Schrade in 1975-1976.  This item is serialized #3902 which makes it probably from the year 1976.  The model RL-2 was based on the Loveless hunter design and features a drop point hunter blade and a synthetic Delrin burgandy handle material.  The blade is thought to be made from 154CM, although there is a bit of confusion on this matter.

This knife is is very good condition.  It has a few minor flaws that appear to be related to the storing in the sheath for all of these many years.  The brass guard has ben oxidized tot he point of slight metal flaws.  The delrin appears to also be slightly affected.  The sheath is is great shape, and the original box, papers and warranty card are included.  This is an amazing piece of knife history to add to any serious  vintage knife collection.
