Formed in 1978, Splodgenessabounds has been rocking the music scene for 46 years, led by the ever-charismatic Max Splodge. Their debut single, "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps," shot into the Top 10 in 1980, setting the stage for a career filled with irreverent fun and distinctive charm.

A quirky twist in Max Splodge's history—a blood test revealing he's a direct descendant of Genghis Khan—brought a unique Mongol theme to many of the band's songs, alongside their enduring favourites: lager and crisps.

After a 22-year break since their last album, Splodgenessabounds is back with their sixth studio release, "Standing on the Shoulders of Dwarves." Packed with schoolboy humour, the album asks the age-old question: why are farts so funny? It covers playful topics like plasticine, falling down holes, watching TV, pubs, and bingo calling. There's even a cheeky nod to "Tubular Bells," celebrating its 50th anniversary.
