The Faces, led by super vocalist Rod Stewart, gained a huge following in the British rock scene in the 70's. This rare live archive of the Faces at the peak of their popularity is now available on CD! Recorded for the popular American radio program "King Biscuit Flower Hour," this is the first time the original recordings have been remastered and released on CD. Both are live archives of the first shows after Japanese bassist Tetsu Yamauchi joined the band (!). In Disc 1, after the release of the 4th album "Ooh La La (original title: Ooh La La)" in March 1973, the original member, bassist Ronnie Lane, left the band, and Tetsu Yamauchi, who had been working with Free, joined the band and recorded the album entitled "Ooh La La / Faces on Tour. This is a complete recording of the October 17 concert in Anaheim, California out of a total of 56 shows in Europe and North America, starting with a London show on April 1 of the same year and ending with a Scotland show on December 16.Some of the recordings from this show were used for the first live album to be released the following year in 1974. The concert was recorded in San Bernardino, California on March 7, 1975, during a 70-show North American-only tour that began in Rochester, New York on February 11, 1975 and ended in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 1, 1975. It contains 13 of the 16 songs, including encores, with the exception of the opener "It's All Over Now" and "True Blue". This album captures the band's final moments, as the gap between Rod Stewart and the other band members widened after this tour, and the band disbanded.
