Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a World War One French 75mm Field Cannon shell clearly engraved:

The copper band that runs around the base of the shell is also engaged as follows:

They shall beat their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
