This is the latest album by German thrash metal band PARADOX, who have been active since the late 80's, after 5 years since their last album "PANGEA" (2016). It is also a concept album, a sequel to their masterpiece "HERESY" (1989), which is also their most popular work and is highly acclaimed by their fans. Prior to the release of the album, the band released the first single "Priestly Vows" and the second single "The Visitor". Priestly Vows, in particular, is a breathless, speedy, and thrilling song that is approximately seven minutes long, and it lives up to its name as a sequel to a masterpiece, showing off a level of perfection that is sufficient to make one anticipate the new album. PARADOX has been releasing albums with a high degree of perfection since its debut, but the band has been known for its members being in flux, with the exception of leader Charlie Steinhauer, and this time the lineup has all changed except for Charlie. In this album, Christian Müntzner plays guitar, Ollie Keller plays bass, and Axel Brahe plays drums, which should be familiar to longtime fans of the band.Yes, all three have participated in PARADOX in the past. Axel, in particular, is an original member who founded the band with Charlie and is returning to PARADOX for the first time in 30 years. Charlie's enthusiasm for this album can be heard in the fact that he has brought back together all the members who were recognized for their abilities to produce this important sequel to his masterpiece.
