Many of the best trial lawyers teach “exclusionary” jury selection: identifying and eliminating bad jurors for cause. Other great trial lawyers preach “inclusionary” jury selection: replacing the focus on getting cause challenges with persuading jurors to rally around shared values (sometimes called “building a tribe”).

The secret starts with how you think about bias and ends in how you frame (explain) what bias is and isn’t during voir dire. 

During this webinar, Plotkin will also teach you how to stop getting rid of jurors who may think they’re biased against you, but are actually receptive to your case. You will learn how voir dire can be carelessly used to get good jurors to think they’re biased against you and off for cause, and how to be careful about pushing back when jurors mistake misunderstandings with bias.
