ABOUT THE KBRS TILE-BASIN®
The Tile-Basin® is a tileable wet area substrate that provides the required positive floor drainage in a tile shower assembly that will be utilizing a clamping-collar type shower drain. The Tile-Basin® has a unique drain connection design that can be specified to work with either a large commercial or standard residential shower drain. The Tile-Basin® is factory waterproofed and equipped with a perimeter flange/curb combination of your choice. The Tile-Basin® is lightweight, yet will provide the superior strength and durability necessary for a successful tile shower installation. PEACE OF MIND FOR YOUR SHOWER
The factory-attached perimeter flange is engineered to prevent water from escaping from the shower area behind the tiled walls due to wall seepage or back-up caused by clogged drain.

HARDCURB® UPGRADES
A standard size Tile-Basin® comes equipped with a standard curb shower threshold. HardCurb® upgrades are available for custom showers that will need to mount heavy glass block or heavy glass doors. Glass shower enclosure mounting hardware must be anchored (screwed) to both the walls and the shower curb in order to safely secure the glass assembly. This is especially true with heavy-glass shower enclosures. Traditional shower curbs, constructed from wood or mortar, and most prefabricated foam curbs, are not designed to receive the required anchoring hardware without causing leaks. A KBRS HardCurb® has a self-sealing anchoring layer that automatically seals around the screws when penetrated, and securely holds the screws in place. If you specify a shower curb, a KBRS standard will be factory attached; however, our self-sealing HardCurb® (patented) is available upon request as an upgrade (additional charges will apply). We can custom manufacture a shower base to any geometric configuration imaginable, with any desired drain location that will connect to most major-brand residential and commercial tile shower drains.

The KBRS Linear Line is a rock-solid alternative to a field-sloped mortar bed. Our Linear Tile-Basin® comes factory waterproofed with a liquid-applied positive side membrane. SUITABLE SUBSTRATES
Any substrate that you would normally build a tile shower on that is level; concrete, approved plywood surface, etc. Deflection of substrate not to exceed 1/360th of the span 1/2 inch (12 mm) in 15 feet (4.6 m) in accordance with ANSI A108.01-2.3. Allow for live and impact load as well as dead load weight of pan, tile and setting beds.

Epoxy welded fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) perimeter flange and/or curb. A Tile-Basin® is encapsulated in an ANSI 118.10 compliant waterproofing membrane.
