Assembly is straightforward — most folks finish in 25–35 minutes. The package includes all necessary hardware and an illustrated manual. You’ll just need a Phillips head screwdriver. The wagon wheels are decorative and pre-attached to the side panels for convenience.

Yes — the carbonized fir wood is treated with a water-proofing paint that helps it endure rain, snow, and sun. To extend its life, we recommend applying a fresh coat of outdoor wood sealant once a year (any clear deck sealant works). The drainage holes prevent standing water, so it handles wet seasons well.

Each planter box holds roughly 0.6 cubic feet of soil (about 4.5 gallons). For all three boxes, you’ll need approximately 1.8 cubic feet total. A standard 2 cubic foot bag of potting mix will fill them with a bit left over. Perfect for deep-rooted veggies like carrots or compact tomatoes.

It’s optional. The wood is naturally rot-resistant, but some gardeners add a landscape fabric liner to keep soil from seeping through drainage holes. If you’re using it indoors, we suggest a plastic tray underneath (not included) to catch excess water.

It’s super versatile. The 6" depth is ideal for herbs (basil, cilantro, thyme), leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, arugula), strawberries, bush beans, and many annual flowers. For larger vegetables like tomatoes or peppers, stick to compact/determinate varieties and one plant per box to avoid crowding.
