Falco is an Austrian/Vienna-born artist known for his hit "Rock Me Amadeus" and his best album "The Sound Of Musik - The Greatest Hits", celebrating the 65th anniversary of his birth. He made his solo debut in 1982 with the album "Deer Commissar". The album's title track, "Der Komissar," was cut as a single and became a big hit in many European countries, making Falco an instantly popular artist. In 1985, he released "Rock Me Amadeus," which reached No. 1 in many European countries, and also No. 1 in the U.S. In 1985, he released his first solo album, "Deer Commissar," which was a single cut. It also reached No. 1 in the United States. It was also an unprecedented hit in Japan. On February 6, 1998, he died suddenly in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, where he had emigrated, at the age of 40.
