Nomad is stoked to announce the release of big wave super charger Samuel Thomas’

‘Web of Lies’ Pro Model bodyboard. From having Tasmania’s Shipsterns as his local break, to extensive missions into the South Australian desert, to spending a year living in his van chasing swells in Western Australia’s South West, Samuel Thomas has made a name for himself as one of Australia’s premier big wave riders, and his new Nomad Premium PP model has been tested in the harshest of environments. The addition of the Precision Recoil Stringer works with the core adding spring like recoil in the nose while maintaining stiffness in the tail, the perfect combination for board projection and perfect for scooping into big waves like Sam tackles.

Board Features:

Core: 1.9pcf Premium PP (A PP core of a 1.9 density is the industry standard for high performance bodyboards. This core material is designed for ultimate speed and projection. Its durability is unrivalled by any other core. Lightweight and rigid, this core will perform exceptionally well in warmer waters where other cores become slow and unresponsive).

Stringer: Precision Recoil Stringer (also known as PRS is a tapered carbon fibre stringer. The PRS is wider and stiffer at the tail of the board, and becomes narrower and more flexible as it gets closer to the nose of the board. This stringer works with the core adding spring like recoil in the nose while maintaining stiffness in the tail, the perfect combination for board projection.)

Deck: Cellu-cushion 8lb PE Deck (8lb Polyethylene is the most superior form of deck skin for any bodyboard offering sufficient strength to ensure a longer lasting board. The strength of the 8lb Polyethylene reduces the chances of deck creases and damage).

Slick: DuPont Surlyn Slick (A Surlyn Slick is your only choice for slick if you demand the greatest amount of response and durability from your board. This high performance slick is the finest grade Surlyn made only by DuPont. Featuring an elastic-like quality to reduce the chance of creasing and damaging without minimising projection).

Mesh: NV Mesh (Mesh layer added beneath the slick to further strengthen the hull of the bodyboard. NV Mesh reduces the chance of creasing and damaging).

Rails: 55/45 Chine Double Rails (A rail design enabling a comfortable grip for holding the rails of the board when riding).

Channels: Yes (2 channels on the bottom of the board located at the tail to ensure stability and control on the face of the wave)

Tail: Clipped Crescent Tail (Provides superior control and hold on the wave face while also allowing for ease of rail to rail transitions and release from carves and spins.)

Additional Features: Nose Grips (Small bulbs on the underside of the nose of the board that enhance grip and control), Nose and Tail Buffers (An additional layer of padding on the nose and tail of the board that enhances longevity and durability), Two Piece Tail (An additional layer of 8lb PE Decking on the tail of the board to offer further support to the tail and visually look appealing).
