If you have installed a JMF intake manifold on your 2003-2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4, a custom upper hard pipe is required to connect the intercooler outlet to the throttle body. The factory upper pipe is not compatible, and most aftermarket upper hard pipes will not fit either, due to the difference in throttle body angle and placement between the OEM manifold and the JMF manifold.
These pipe kits are constructed from thick wall aluminum piping and paired with 4-ply silicone couplers, providing maximum strength while still allowing the flexibility needed for proper fitment. The piping is 2.75 inch in diameter for maximum flow, and transitions down to 2.5 inch at the intercooler inlet. We also use a silicone 4-ply hump hose at the throttle body inlet to allow for more engine movement if necessary. Each pipe is finished with a wrinkle black powder coat for a durable, long-lasting finish that also delivers a clean, aggressive appearance.
The kit includes a threaded fitting for connecting the OEM red vacuum line for the TIP sensor, along with an OEM-style, plug-and-play temperature sensor that threads directly into the pipe. This design eliminates the risk of the temperature sensor blowing out under boost.>/p>
This pipe kit is available in three configurations:
1) With an HKS flange, or 2) With a adapter flange that mounts to the HKS flange, allowing the use of either Greddy or TiAL blow-off valve.
Blow-off valves are sold separately.
The JMF manifold and this upper hard pipe are best suited for 70mm or larger throttle bodies. You may need to change the upper coupler if you have a smaller diameter throttle body, or larger than a 2.75 inch ID throttle body. The MPx 70mm throttle body works perfectly with this setup.
