Overview

After the end of the Second World War, rapid growth in civil aviation began, supported among other things by new aircraft that could fly longer distances. An important component of this growth was the Douglas DC-4, which was used by Pan Am from 1947. For example, it introduced round-the-world flights, with 14 stopovers from/to New York in Europe, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, and the then new DC-4 (and also the Lockheed Constellation) to the user.

This die-cast metal airplane model comes in 1/200 scale with landing gear and a plastic stand. Model is approximately 5 ½ inches long with a 7-inch wingspan.
