One of the nicest stingy brim fedoras I have had, perhaps because of its Tyrolean influences. This dates to the early 1960s, according to information from the Habig company - specifically, 1962. The crown is not as tall as modern Alpine hats - it has a tear drop crease. The three layer corded hat band is set off with a triple loop shape.

SIZE: A size label inside the leather band is a bit confusing - see closeup. Please consider the measurements provided below. I have a large head and typically wear a 7 1/4 to 7 1/2 - this hat is slightly snug. I would estimate it  as a 7 1/8, but please consider the measurements. 

MATERIALS/COLORS: The body of the hat is thick luxurious black velour. Grosgrain brim binding and corded hat band are a tannish shade of olive green. The inner sweatband is a soft brown leather. The hat has a clear plastic protector at the crown, suggesting this was made in the days when men wore lots of hair product and hats needed to be protected.

CONDITION: A few inches of stitching holding the reeded inner sweatband have loosened from the body of the hat in front and to the wearer's left - see closeup. Restitching should be an easy repair, but the hat is very wearable as is.
