The Dirty Projectors, the most important band led by Dave Longstreth, release their latest release, a series of EPs all in one! Dirty Projectors is a band from Brooklyn led by Dave Longstreth. The band's first release "Bitte Orca," their first album after moving to the prestigious Domino label, was a breakout hit, winning all the best albums of the year, and they have since performed at Fuji Rock and headlined the Asagiri Jam in Japan. In Japan, they have since appeared at Fuji Rock and headlined the Asagiri Jam.In 2020, the band began a project to release five EPs, each featuring a different band member as lead vocalist, and released "5EPs", an album that combines all five EPs into one! The first EP "Windows Open" features Maia Friedman with her light and beautiful acoustic sound, and the second EP "Flight Tower" features Felicia Douglas with her soulful groove and comfortable harmony, and the third EP "Super Joao", Leader Dave Longstreth sings lead vocals on this collection of songs reminiscent of Arthur Russell, Chet Baker, and the Brazilian bossa nova pioneer João Gilberto, who unfortunately passed away last year. The fourth EP features keyboardist Kristin Slip on vocals, and the fifth EP, which closes out the series, showcases the voices of all the members. Note that Dave Longstreth wrote, produced, and mixed all of the songs on all of the albums, and the lyrics were written in collaboration with the members who sang vocals.
