The CC-TPIX11 module must be installed on a Series C Input/Output Termination Assembly (IOTA). The IOTA provides the physical connection points for the field wiring.

Flow Totalization is one of the most common uses for the CC-TPIX11. The module performs pulse counting locally at the hardware level, ensuring accurate totalization even if the C300 controller is processing at a slower cycle. The total pulse count is then passed to the Experion database, supporting accurate billing and process control.
Field Tip:
To minimize the risk of false counts, ensure that the field wiring uses shielded twisted pair (STP) cables. High-speed pulse signals are highly susceptible to electromagnetic interference (EMI) from nearby motors or power cables, which can disrupt accurate signal detection.
