VIAVI OCC-55 CWDM Optical Channel Checker and OCC-56 DWDM Optical Channel Checkers are compact and low-cost test alternative solutions to optical spectrum analyzers (OSA) for field service groups tasked with the installation, maintenance and upgrades of WDM systems testing. These selective power meters scan the WDM channels according to ITU-T wavelength grid and automatically record wavelength/frequency and related power level.

VIAVI OCC-55

The VIAVI SmartClass OCC-55 is a handheld, battery- operated CWDM Channel Checker that is ideal for field service groups tasked with the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of CWDM systems. The OCC-55 scans the CWDM system and automatically records all channels with the wavelength and related power level. The information can be displayed in a graphical spectrum format or in a table of results so that users can easily check the performance of each and every channel.

With the OCC-55, VIAVI sets the benchmark for convenience and performance in CWDM analyzers. At just 195 x 95 mm (7.68 x 3.74 in), a technician has the capability to easily install, upgrade, and maintain a CWDM network.

The SmartClass OCC-56C scans the DWDM system and automatically records all channels with the wavelength/frequency and the related power level. Information can be displayed in a graphical spectrum format or in a table of results so that users can easily check the performance of each and every channel. The SmartClass OCC-56C DWDM channel checker covers all ITU-Te frequencies from 191.600 to 196.100 THz based on a 100 GHz grid.
