With the Compressioni project, designer Paolo Ulian reimagines the possibilities of sheet metal through an expressive process of shaping and transformation. Each centrepiece begins its life turned on a lathe, then carefully compressed to create its final form—allowing gentle deformations to become part of the design. The resulting folds settle into unexpected geometric patterns, giving every piece a sense of both order and individuality. Sculptural yet functional, the Compressioni Centrepiece is a quiet celebration of experimentation, craft, and the beauty of controlled imperfection.
