The Omega "Dirty Dozen" is one of 12 brands commissioned by the British Ministry of Defense (MoD) during World War II,  inscribed with WWW on the reverse (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof), the necessary engraving served as a means of identifying the watch as government property; to be part of the so-called "Dirty Dozen" the watches had to have a black dial, Arabic numerals, luminous hour and minute hands, luminous hour markers, a railroad minute track, a shatterproof crystal, and a stainless-steel case. 

Said stainless steel case is superb - crisp, sharp and strong - the crown is oversized as it should be, and turns with confidence on the wind

The broad arrow hands show the original radium lume fully intact, which match the number plots - both of which have turned to the most attractive warm brown (not the lurid green which some did)

The white numerals are near faultless, with no missing material, and all white printing crisp and preserved

The watch has been inspected and regulated by our trusted watchmaker, and is currently running and keeping excellent time
