Description:
Gary Moore was a rock guitarist who released many hit albums as a hard rock guitarist in the 70's and 80's. In the late 80's, he returned to blues music and gained a new following, but died suddenly in February 2011 at the age of 58. In March 1987, Gary Moore released "Wild Frontier," an album about his homeland of Northern Ireland, which became a No. 8 hit in the UK album charts and produced four hit singles. The album was a hit, reaching No. 8 in the U.K. album charts. In March of the same year, he embarked on a massive "Wild Frontier Tour" that took him from the U.K. to Europe, Japan, and the U.S., including a performance in London on April 1. The London show on April 1 was broadcast as a BBC TV special. This album is an archive of the audio tapes used for the program. The album features a selection of the best of the best at this point in their career, and their performance with their well-known backing members is a masterpiece that establishes them as a top hard rock artist/guitarist.Includes an additional bonus track, a live performance at Milton Keynes in 1986.
