Description:
The complete piano trio works of Joaquin Turina, a composer from Andalusia, Spain, heard with three internationally acclaimed soloists, led by David Mata, a player with the RTVE Symphony Orchestra. It includes four works from the early years of his career to his later years. The F major Trio, which has a romantic and youthful atmosphere reminiscent of Brahms; No. 1, which shows a glimpse of Impressionist influence, oscillating between minor and major keys, which won a composition competition in 1926; No. 2, which was composed in 1933 and premiered in the Netherlands; and No. 3, which represents the passage of a day from dawn to dusk. The "Circle" is a late work that expresses the passage of a day from dawn to dusk. All are powerful works in the tradition of Romantic chamber music. Naxos Japan
