This Organic Argan Oil is sourced from south-west Morocco where the Argan tree is known as their “Tree of Life.” This ingredient has been a source of income in Morocco for many years. In 1998 the Argan Forest was declared a biosphere reserve by UNESCO due to the fact that Argan tree’s prevent soil erosion and protect water resources. Traditionally, women would gather the fruit and males would sell it. Today, we work with over 40 co-ops that work with local women producing Organic Argan Oil, Deodorized.
