Alby’s first adventure “World Safari I”, began when he and friend John Field left South Australia on motor bikes early one Autumn morning in 1971.  Although their ultimate destination was undecided, they headed for the centre of Australia to see whit it was called the “dead heart”.  During the next six years, their adventure took them through fifty-six countries and across four continents.
