Measure the shaft, rod, or bore your tube needs to fit around or inside. The OD (outer diameter) is the outside measurement; the ID (inner diameter) is the bore. All variants here have a fixed 2mm wall, so ID = OD − 4mm. For example, the 10mm OD tube has a 6mm ID (≈0.24"). If you need a 8mm ID, select the 12mm OD variant.

Brass is generally stronger than aluminum and more machinable than mild steel. Yes. Brass machines exceptionally well with standard HSS or carbide tooling. It can be cut with a hacksaw, pipe cutter, or bandsaw; drilled with standard twist bits; and tapped for threads without special tooling. Deburr cut ends with a file or deburring tool for a clean finish.

These are plain (unthreaded) round tubes. Compatibility with fittings depends on the OD you select. In most cases they fit standard metric compression fittings or can be tapped to accept metric or BSP threads. Always confirm the fitting bore size against the tube OD before ordering.
