Description:
Structure" is a one-shot special project by a group of elite French musicians who also worked with Gismonti and Dee Dee Bridgewater. This excellent jazz-rock-library album, reminiscent of Zao and Cortex, is reissued on the Spanish discovery label Sommor with additional bonus tracks. Structure is a French studio project led by flutist Bernard Wystraete and drummer Andre Ceccarelli that was active for a short time in the early 1970s. The group was a supergroup of elite musicians with brilliant collaborations including Egbert Gismonti, Claude Besson, Marie Lafollet, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jean-Roger Caussimon, etc. In 1970, the group released a CD on the Paris-based Disques A.F.A.> label. label in Paris in 1970, is now being reissued.This is a great album full of killer numbers reminiscent of Zao and Cortex, including the cool bossa "Climat," "Prelude No. 1," and the groovy jazz-funk "Episodes," spiced up with percussion and scat. Two rare 7" singles are included as bonus tracks. Released on the Spanish discovery label Sommor, which has reissued albums by Oberon, Claude Lombard, Pig Rider, and others.
