Note that this kit does not include a battery - Recommended models to source are 123048 lipo batteries.

Shell cutting is required to access the USB C port on this mod.

The USB C charging board kit from Giltesa uses the TP5000 IC to provide a battery charging solution for the Game Boy Color.

The same PCB has a MT3540 setup for to boost and stabalise power.

The audio amp is a PAM8302A 2.5W class-D mono audio amplifier.

This kit includes two boards, the main charging / boost converter / amp board and an optional small LED board which requires some additional cable wiring.

The LED board has three status colours, White whilst powered on and playing, Red whilst charging and Green when fully charged.

Also included is a battery cable, LED board cable and LED diffuser.

* These boards do not have the EM4 electronic component, one of the kit’s pads must be soldered there to detect if there are headphones connected to the audio jack. An alternative pad can be used for it
