Materials are taken by the loading table and electric conveyor belt and emptied into the shredder for destruction. There they are broken down into 9/32" x 1-1/2" pieces, meeting level 2 standards. Capable of shredding approximately 500-550 sheets, this powerhouse machine decimates up to 600 kg each hour. This shredder/baler combination unit features a resourceful operating element for continuous and reverse operation. Should a paper jam occur, the HSM 5088 instantly kicks into reverse to power through the problem. For an extended life, this shredder comes equipped with an integrated automatic oiler. Rather than having to manually oil your shredder, this oiling system lubricates the cutting unit during operation. From the shredder, the destroyed materials fall into a filling hatch located in the pressing unit. An additional inspection hatch is perfect for adding non-sensitive material or boxes separately. The sophisticated PLC press control unit includes a multi-language display and exceptional menu navigation for user-friendly operation. The photoelectric cell allows for automatic control of the pressing process. As the shreds are pressed, they are transformed into 15.7"- 37.5"L x 19.7" W x 19.7" H bales. These bales can be strapped using the manual, 3-fold polyester strapping system. This feature continuously runs to strap and bind each bale, which can then be deposited into a plastic bag for removal. Since the shredding and baling processes occur simultaneously, there is no need to oversee operations. A convenient "bale ready" alert will display when the process is complete. Although not compact like its counterparts, the HSM 5088's size mirrors its power and capability.
