Etel Adnan "Fil du Temps" 2021. Etching. Edition of 100.

A critical work by Adnan, the final etching in this series. Etel was unable to put pencil to paper due to her fading health, which ultimately led to her passing. As a result, she signed the first print off the press, which was transcribed and etched onto the edition. Her closing act added a profound layer of meaning to the title, Fil de temps (Thread of Time), leaving a sense of irony that echos in perpetuity as does her colourful soul in the world she left behind.
