The Nikon 800mm f5.6 ED AI-S Nikkor is a big lens, and I do not think that it is possible to use it without a tripod. It is half a metre long and weighs 5.6kg, and that's not even counting the metal hood. However, if you need a lot of telephoto reach, there's not much out there that will do a better job. 800mm at f5.6 is fast, and it's sharp as heck, too. Clean optics, with only minor dust, no haze or fungus; smooth focusing and diaphragm. Cosmetic condition is very good, with minor wear from careful use. Includes original hood and hardcase.
