"In November 2015 I found myself on tour in various cities throughout Europe. Each day, I attempted to record a stream of consciousness improvisation using one guitar and a looping pedal, live with no overdubs or editing. On one of those days I happened to be in Utrecht, an idyllic, canal-veined city in the heart of the Netherlands. The nightclub attack in Paris had happened just two days prior and I set about my daily task with a heavy heart. Listening back, the music I recorded that day has a particularly unified feel - one of mourning, loss, and ultimately, hope."
