The Camille Shrug is a Reine signature style, designed with a boxy, uncomplicated and flattering oversized shape that is worn open and meets neatly at the centre front.  It features a drop shoulder, elbow-length full pleated sleeves with deep cuffs, front patch pockets with flaps, and curved side hem splits - front fastenings are available if preferred.

At Reine, every garment is tailored to fit you perfectly at no extra cost. Whether you’re based in Auckland or elsewhere, we offer in-person fittings at our Auckland atelier or virtual consultations. For virtual fittings, we can usually send a sample garment for you to try on. We source suitable fabrics in colours you prefer, with each piece made to your exact proportions for exceptional style and comfortable fit.

DESIGNER'S NOTE

Designed in 2022 and on high rotation ever since, the Camille Shrug works beautifully in a vast array of fabrics and colours - a consistent favourite that draws compliments wherever it goes (so popular that our clients now keep sending us links to other brands making our signature style).

I’ve been wearing mine casually with shorts, jeans, skirts, and singlet dresses - then pairing my satin Camille with formal black or ivory dresses for event dressing. It’s a true chameleon.

The ivory Italian linen has become a summer essential for me. It’s perfect for air-conditioned spaces or cooler evenings, offering just the right amount of coverage. As someone who naturally leans towards black, I love how the crisp ivory brightens everything - including my mood.

This style adapts beautifully across fabrics. Heavy cotton bouclé from Lyon, linens, and rich satins all work effortlessly, and the silhouette looks just as polished worn open as it does with fasteners. Because each piece is made to measure, the proportion is right for every body - which is exactly why Camille has become such a reliable favourite in so many wardrobes, adding quiet elegance and polish when you want something more refined than a cardigan, but less structured than a blazer.
