Omega Speedmasters are plentiful, that is especially true of the "Post Calibre 321" era, when the Speedy became affectionately known as the Moonwatch - it's twisted lug case is one that has remained largely untouched for half a century now - and for good reason, it is a true icon and one of the finest watch designs in history

Along the way though, there were some curveballs in the Speedy enterprise, one such reference was the 176.0014, otherwise known as the "TV Dial".

With its integrated bracelet, boxy design so typical of the 70s, automatic movement, sapphire crystal with embedded tachymetre insert, this is certainly an oddball in the Speedmaster movement, and one that has always garnered a special place in collectors' hearts. 

This example is evidently unpolished, with signs of wear to the bezel and bracelet (a light intervention could see the watch transformed with very little work - I however stick to my ethos of selling watches untouched and leave the option of case refinishing to the new owner) - the star of the show though is undeniably the blue soleil dial - one that changes from iridescent charcoal through night sky blue depending on how it takes the light from above

As an added bonus, this watch comes with its original box (inner and outer, plus instruction booklet)
