14K Gold jean louis roehrich pocket watch Vtg 17 jewel 21 grams Antique Dissasembled... guy working for me told me he could fix it, worked for a minute then quit, he took it all apart then couldnt put it back together , was missing crystal,  while apart he said he tested the gold, he said the crown & chain holder seem to be gold also (tried them with a magnet) tested both   said the gold parts weighed 21 grams thats with the crown & holder....not certain about those,  he told me he could scrap it for about 1200.00   I cant imagine doing that, think it needs put back together, was my great uncles, he loved this watch, got it from retirement from post office for many years.   dont know all the details but thats what my aunt told me.....

"Jean Louis Roehrich was born in London 10/11/1896, died February 1981 in Connecticut. He was supposedly a founder of the NAWCC, worked with Omega and Cartier, has a jewelery shop at 599 5th Avenue, NYC for years. He lived in Brooklyn, New York City, New Rochelle, NY and Newtown, Ct. He immigrated to the U S in 1926 and was listed as a watchmaker. He was married to Herta in Great Neck, NY in 1926. He displayed his clocks at the New England chapter of the NAWCC at his home in 1959. He was in charge of the erection of the Swiss Watchmakers chalet at the Ford Museum. "
