Launching Cruse Wine Co in 2013, Michael Cruse came to wine through his interest in science, he prefers off-beat grapes such as Valdiguie, Tannat, Carignane and St Laurent rather than the usual Cabernet and Merlot, but he still makes 'unabashadly Califonian' wines.
