Description:
BUNNY RUGS is known as the frontman of the legendary reggae band THIRD WORLD, but before that he was an apprentice at LEE PERRY's studio, Black Ark. He released this album in 1975 under the name of BUNNY SCOTT under the production of LEE PERRY. The album captures the laid-back sessions of the early Black Ark, with surprising innovations lurking in the soul covers and love ballads, such as the eternal BEEGEES classic "TO LOVE SOMEBODY," which references JAMES CARR's soulful rendition, and "BIG MAY," which features new drums and a new drummer. BIG MAY" reworks the "RETURN OFDJANGO"/"SICK AND TIRED" rhythm with a new drum part. This is one of Black Ark's finest albums that should be appreciated not only as a reggae album, but also as a soulful rare groove album! Mastered from the original tapes with additional bonus tracks.
