The Sumitomo Type-72M12 is a ribbon fiber fusion splicer. This mass fusion splicer joins two ribbon fiber assemblies with very low loss, allowing for the connection of multiple cables in optical fiber networks. The splicing of up to twelve fibers at a time can significantly reduce the installation time and cost of optical fiber networks.
