She also collaborated with Wolfgang Tillmans at an exhibition at the Tate Modern in London, and had a group performance at the Barbican's Jean-Michel Basquiat retrospective. She says that a major turning point in the production of this work was when her studio was robbed. This led her to go back to basics, buy an acoustic guitar and harmonium, and start work in Pakistan, where her grandparents live.Embracing genres as diverse as shoegaze, ambient, dream pop, and indie rock, Nabihah's addictive voice and melancholy, shimmering melodies and beats create a musical style all their own.
