"Love is like a tree, it grows of its own accord, it puts down deep roots into our whole being."—Victor Hugo
The name Oakley can be traced back to its English origins, with its meaning stemming from the combination of oak and ley. The term oak refers to the majestic and enduring tree that is renowned for its strength and longevity. Meanwhile, ley denotes a meadow or field. I chose this ring for a meaning of deeply rooted love, not one without difficulty, but despite challenges, its roots grow deeper and stronger with the passing of time.
This solitaire ring was first hand-carved in wax and then directly cast as a one of a kind piece directly into 14K yellow gold. It features a lower profile rounded prong setting with a textured band and 4 diamonds inset into the band.
No mold was taken of this ring, so it is truly one of a kind. This ring will pair well with our Esme and Locklyn wedding bands (sold separately; pictured in some of the photos)
Please note: While every effort is made to photograph the items to be an accurate representation, photography and computer monitors have limitations and differences. These images were taken with a Canon DSLR and macro lens (this shows much more detail than the eye can see). Colors and brightness may vary on different devices. I believe these pieces look so much prettier in person when held in the hand and admired by the eye (I've also been told this many times by Knot & Splice customers). I hope you're delighted when you receive your special piece in the mail.
