This sculptural charm/pendant started out as a one of a kind piece that I hand-carved in wax and cast in gold. It features an approx. 3.5mm gemstone and 14k/18k gold color of your choice. The charm holder/necklace is an additional option that I'm obsessed with (you can add a few smaller sized charms if you'd like).

When I created "My Flowers are Butterflies" I wanted to create something whimsical...I pictured a bouquet of butterflies instead of flowers. As humans, we desire to hold so tightly to things. Change is one of the hardest aspects of life for us. And yet, most of the dreams we desire have to pass though a journey of challenges to arrive where we hope to be. Perhaps we aren't traveling in a linear fashion, but that the journey itself is the art.

This pendant features a sapphire with an abstract "eye" over looking your field of butterflies...your symbolic transformation and hope. The eye is your vision and perseverance and desire to see your dreams through even if you don't know how it all works out right now.

At the top of the pendant is a bow which is symbol often used to connote a gift. Tying the ribbon on top of a gift is like a little blessing for all you cannot yet see. It is the promise you make to yourself to hold the vision for your life even if the road gets hard.

This piece was sculpted in jeweler's wax. The shape and border are meant to feel like a postage stamp...as in this moment in time is one chapter of your passport of life which has so much more ahead of you to explore and transform. I hope this piece most of all reminds you of the wonder you felt as a kid. Some whimsy and delusion is needed to stay the course when pursuing one's dreams and I hope this piece reminds you of just how far you've come and how much more love and creativity and growth is ahead.

    The pictured charm holder necklace is available, as well, in two lengths (16" and 18"). The charm holder itself is approx. 12 x 12 mm in size, with a 2.1mm chain width with a lovely lobster clasp. The charm holder has a smooth spring action that allows you to easily add and remove different charms. Please note: our supplier doesn't offer palladium alloy white gold for this necklace/charm holder (the necklace/charm holder contains nickel for the 14k white gold chain option *the pendant in our palladium white gold option is nickel-free).
