As the base model in the MIT500 series, the MIT515 is lighter, more compact, and easier to use than many comparable testers. While it does not include some of the advanced features of the MIT525 or MIT1025 (such as ramp tests, Auto SV, or USB data export), it remains a reliable tool for commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting high-voltage apparatus.
